This seems to be occurring when joining a meeting from a Microsoft Outlook event reminder. It is a known issue and unfortunately there has not been an update from Microsoft on when the issue will be resolve. However there are a few minor steps that can be taken to allow the application to open properly.
- Right click on the Teams application located on the dock and select quit. Give the MacOS a few moments to terminate the program.
- Spotlight search for Teams (command+spacebar) or select teams from your apps shortcut on the dock itself, and reopen.
- Join the meeting.
An update will be provided once Microsoft determines the cause and provides resolution.
